These are notes I took two days ago, and the baby has scribbled over
a lot of them. So it is hard to read a lot of them, and harder still to
elaborate on them. But I hope they can give you some useful information.
By the way "the baby" is two on Sunday. I guess I have to
stop calling him the baby soon.
Junior Lady’s Group B Free Skate
- Tasha MaMoody (Peninsula SC )
- Split jump into a double jump. One footed circular footwork. She did
a catch foot camel spin; and ina baur into a double axel/double toe. She
has a lovely layback spin. She also did a double lutz and fell on a
double loop.
- Natasha Jackson (St. Moritz ISC )
- Nice spiral. Fell on a double axel; landed a loop/loop combination on
two feet.
- Amanda-Michelle Kaufman (Escondido FSC )
- Two footed a triple sal and ended up on her knee, ouch. She landed a
double lutz; double lutz; a double axel and three double/double
combinations. She also does a great bit where she leaps up and clicks
her heels together. I also have some other compliments written down that
I can’t read. Oh well.
- Alison Eddy (Portland ISC )
- I think she did a triple/double combination, but I am not sure. She
did do a double/single combination. Very nice camel spin, good line,
well extended. She smiled at the judges during her spiral sequence. She
did a tano jump, but fell on it. Good footwork. Landed a double jump and
a double axel.
- Erica Aden (Tri Cities FSC )
- She landed a triple sal/double toe combination; then fell on another
triple; landed one double axel and singled another axel. She landed a
double lutz, a double sal, and double loop. She also has a pretty
layback spin, nice arms and arch in her back. She fell on a jump out of
steps.
- Brianna Weissmann (Los Angeles FSC )
- Landed a double lutz, another double jump and then fell on the
salchow. I don’t know what the beginning of her music is, but the end is
Nessum Dorma. She landed an axel on her knees, there seemed to be a lot
of that going on. She did a change edge spiral and a split jump into
another jump she fell on.
- Abigail Alfajora (Peninsula SC )
- She fell on one jump, landed a double/double and another double jump.
Then Marshall climbed into my lap and that was the end of the note
taking.
- Darby Gaynor (Peninsula SC )
- Landed a double axel; a triple sal; double lutz/double toe
combination; a double loop; another double axel; and two other double
jumps. She had fast footwork. Skated a Spanish program with that haughty
Carmen-esque attitude.
- Annah Lee (St. Moritz ISC )
- Fell on a triple then landed a great double axel, incredible flow
coming in and going out of that jump. Excellent circular steps with
leaps in the footwork. Landed a triple sal and a triple loop and a
triple sal/double combination. She also landed a double axle, but then
fell. Fast skater.
- Aanya Reiten (Lakewood Winter Club )
- Started out by falling on a triple loop. Then cleanly landed a
triple/double combination. She did two triple sals, one in combination
with a double toe. She also did steps into a double lutz, but fell on a
double axle and another triple. She has gorgeous line and a big smile
throughout the program.
- Kailee Watson (Los Angeles FSC )
- Landed a double axel, then fell on a triple lutz. She fell again then
did a flying sit spin. She landed another triple jump and a triple lutz.
Popped a sal and fell out of a double axel. She did steps into a double
axel. About a third of the way through her program her music stopped.
She had to listen as they played her music again and then pick up where
she left off, poor kid.
- Emoury Boutrin (St. Moritz )
- She wore a dress that looked like a medieval soldier’s armor. I don’t
know what she was trying to portray though. She fell on a double axel
and I have no other notes for her. She has very long legs that she
extends well and look great in spins.
