ARGH!!! I can’t believe it, I shot five, or six skaters with NO FILM in the camera. I am sub-moronic. Can someone bludgeon me with a skate guard? Okay I saw the Junior Ladies today. But I couldn’t take notes for a bunch of them and I missed a few of them. Here we go

Junior Ladies Short Program Group A

Jessica Aronstam (Denali IC)
She wore a mult-shade of blue costume, reminiscent of Michelle’s firt Lyra Angelica costume. Double axel ok, good flying sit spin, catch foot spiral, pretty layback spin, double loop out of steps was fine. She did circular footwork. I missed her combo.
Katherine Spechtt (Moritz ISC)
She wore lavender, a highly underused color in my opinion. She has a beautiful layback spin. Fell on her double axel and triple sal, poor kid. Her loop out of steps was fine.

Jordana Blesa was listed in the skate order but did not skate.

Katie Dowdy (St. Moritz ISC)
She wore black and I didn’t get a chance to take any notes about her.
Susannah Hall (Lilac City FSC)
I really liked her. She skated to Take 5, wore a pretty yellow dress. She had some nice dance moves in the program. Flying sit spin, Sal/toe combo, I think it was a double/double. Ooooo, she did this cool move, a Charlotte spiral into a double axel, very nice. Double out of steps was fine.
Leslie Vaeth (Peninsula SC)
She wore purple and I couldn’t take notes again.

Sima Ganaba was listed here, but also didn’t show.

Laura Gardner (Portland ISC)
She wore a pink costume. Two footed the double axel and her double loop. She did an illusion at the end of her combination spin. She had a very deep arch in her back in her layback spin and a nice smile.
Aurora Premont (Rim of the World FSC)
Pale blue costume. Two footed the double axel, double lutz/double toe combination was fine. She did a catch foot spiral. Double out of steps was fine.
Alice Ho (Pennisula SC)
Black dress with sliver trim. She did a lutz/toe combination and I can’t read the part of my notes where I write whether it was a double or triple. She had trouble with her double axle, she almost skidded to a stop going into it and I thought she wouldn’t make it, but she managed to hold the landing and her double loop was fine. Her sit spin was very slow. She had good personality, presenting well to judges and audience.
Felicia Beck (Los Angeles FSC)
WOW!! Way the class of the field. She was so FAST, her spins were fast, she flew across the ice. She looked like a senior skater. She landed triple lutz/double toe combination, but she has a way high kick into that lutz, like Andrea Gardiner, only more. Her double axel and double loop were excellent. Excellent circular steps, great outgoing personality.
Jennifer Beck (All Year FSC)
Evidently she is no relation to Felicia. She two footed the triple sal/double toe combination and two footed the double axel. Then fell on the loop. Very sad, she has very lovely spin positions and a gorgeous costume.
Kara Glasson (Peninsula SC)
She fell on a loop, landed a double jump and double axel. She has nice extension. And I couldn’t take many notes on her.

Junior Ladies Group B Short Program

Alison Eddy (Portland SC)
Fell on second jump in the combination. Double loop was fine, but she fell on the double axel.
Erica Aden (Tri Cities FSC)
She wore a gorgeous yellow, orange, costume that I got NO pictures of because I am a moron. She skated with really good speed, I think she has gotten faster since Nationals. She has very nice, graceful arm movements and lovely line. She stepped out of the triple sal and only did a single toe afterwards, hand down on the double axel. The loop out of steps was fine. She had very fast straightline footwork.
Kailee Watson (Los Angeles SC)
She stepped out of her lutz, but managed the double toe and had a big smile on her face afterwards. Good height in the double axel. She held her opening spiral very nicely and included a very nice ina baur in her spiral sequence.
Abigal Alfajora (Peninsula SC)
Double axel had an extra turn in the landing. Fell on the combination, double loop was fine. She moves her arms very well.
Brianna Weissmann (Los Angeles FSC)
She skated to Swan Lake and did a lot of lovely ballet movements. Her double axel was fine, she double footed the lutz in her lutz combination. She did a change edge spiral and excellent circular footwork. She had great expression.
Emory Boutrin (St. Moriz ISC)
She wore pale pink. Loop out of steps was fine. Circluar step sequence, singled the axel. Dropped her leg in the camel part of her combination spin. I didn’t see her combination jump, but I assume she landed it cause she got a lot of applause.
Natasha Jackson (St. Moritz ISC)
I was checking on the baby, so I didn’t see all of her program. I did see her fall once, but that is all I know.
Annah Lee (St. Moritz ISC)
She was fast, she just floated over the ice. The kind of skater it is fun just to watch her do crossovers. Good flow out of her double axel. She did triple sal combination with an extra turn between jumps. Lovely spin positions, she wore a deep red velvet dress.
Nancy Morishita (South Bay FSC)
I have no notes for her.
Darby Gaynor (Peninsula SC)
Double axel was fine. She did a triple sal combination with an extra step between jumps, had a big smile on her face after her combination. Double loop was fine. Dressed in black from head to toe and skated to Schindler’s List.
Tasha MaMoody (Peninsula SC)
No notes here either I am afraid.
Aanya Reiten (Lakewood Winter Club)
Oooo, she has really beautiful willowy arms, very graceful. Wore a white dress. Good speed, double axel was fine, layback spin is beautiful, one of the best I have seen. Put her hand down in the combination jump. She fell on the loop, but had nicely deep edges.

Tomorrow I am going to try and bring the baby. Richard will take pictures and he better put film in the camera!!
