Novice Men's Free

I took only partial notes for this event. Some guys I only got a single line. Overall I thought this was a really nice event, a lot of the young men were paying attention to the presentation. It was quite enjoyable. Usual jump disclosure, I can't always see take offs, or count revolutions and I can't tell a toe loop from a flip.

I just ordered b'fast, let's play see how many guys I can type before my b'fast gets here.

The marks I am reporting were the ones announced at the end of the program and are subject to "adjustment."

The marks reported are the unofficial marks announced at the event.

William Nottingham
Music is the ever popular Zorro. He has a great split jump.

Tech mark 29.40 PCS 36.84 Free Total 65.24 Event Total 99.73

Alexander Johnson
Music is Autumn. He reminded me of Paul Wylie. He has a nice spiral sequence. His jump sequence was double axel/double toe/double loop. He is very stylish and musical.

Tech mark 38.23 PCS 45.32 Total Free 83.55

Briam Simm
Music is the Van Helsing soundtrack. He landed a triple loop and a triple lutz. He did a spread eagle into a salchow/1/2 loop/loop combination, but I didn't write down the revolutions. He landed a triple/double combination. He did a triple lutz/double toe combination but stepped out of the lutz.

Tech mark 47.28 PCS 43.92 Total Free 91.20

Either I am typing very fast or b'fast is taking a long time. Oh it is here!

Eliot Halverson
He skated to an Hungarian/Russian Folk medley. Daniel dubbed him the Happy Hungarian. He landed a triple lutz/double toe, a triple/double combination. Landed triple salchow; a double axel/double loop/double loop combination. Another triple jump and a back Bielman spiral into a triple jump. He is very stylish and expressive with a big personality, as we said the Happy Hungarian.

Total for Free skate 104.30

Scott Dyer
Music is Piano Concerto in A Minor by Grieg. He has nice Moves In the Field and nice edges. He landed a double axel, triple loop. He did a triple jump, spun a couple of times and did a double jump. Landed a triple salchow/double/double loop sequence. He did wallies both ways and he has great transitional moves.

Tech Mark 37.35 PCS 54.65 Total for Free 92.00

Brandon Mroz
He skated to the music from The Incredibles, his costume had lightning bolts on it. Landed a triple/triple combination, a triple loop/double combination. He landed a triple lutz, a triple loop, a double axel and another double jump. I must have been very tired because I am only writing jump notes now.

Tech score 51.42 PCS 47.63 Total Free 99.05

Amin Mahbanoozadeh
Music is Beethoven's Egmont Overture. He fell on something. He did a double axel/1/2 half loop/1/2 half loop/triple combination. He landed a triple loop, did a spread eagle into a triple loop, two footed something and I think he did a triple/triple combination, but I am not sure. (I gotta read the protocols when I get back to California.)

Tech Score 36.15 PCS 42.95 Total Free 79.10

Curran Oi
Music is Robin Hood (since Zorro was overdone he decided to do the British Zorro.) He landed a triple loop. He tried a triple lutz/triple toe but fell on the toe. He landed a triple salchow, he did a triple/double combination. He landed a triple lutz and another triple jump. He did a shoot the duck into something I cant read in my notes.

Tech Score 47.28 PCS 50.84 Total for Free skate 102.26
