I don't have a lot of notes and they are incomplete. I am sick so this
is not up to my usual reports. These notes are from long and short
programs.
- Chrissy Hughes
- Short
- Music was Symphony #3 by Boccherini Landed a
double axel and a triple salchow/double toe combination., popped the
solo jump. She had nice strtch and speed in his spirals. She has pretty
hand movements.
- Free Skate
- Little Russian symphony by Tchaikovsky. She wore a lovely
blue purple costume. She landed a triple jump, a triple salchow/double
toe a double jump and another triple salchow. She has nice flow a very
smooth skater. She did two lunges in her footwork.
- Angela Maxwell
- Short
- Program was Shout and Feel It. She fell on a double axel; had a problem
with a triple salchow combination, but I can't make out my notes there.
She had a lot of nice dance moves and presented well, with lots of
personality.
- Free Skate
- Music is Red Poppy Suite. She landed a
double axel/double toe/double loop sequence. Fell on a triple salchow.
Landed a triple jump, did a double/double with steps in between. Landed
a double axel, did a catch foot layback into a Bielman spin. Spread
eagle into a salchow, but fell. She had a good footwork sequence with
dramatic expression.
- Debbie Knubley
- Short program music is O Mio
Babbino Caro. She landed a double axel, did triple salchow/double
loop combination but put her foot down after the loop. She did a fast
Ina Baur. I am sorry I have no notes for her Free except her music was
Rhapsody In Blue.
- Laney Diggs
- I like Laney but I have no notes for her. Sorry told you I
wasn't up to my usual self.
- Alexe Gilles
- Short
- Her short program was Techno Tango. Did a
lunge into a double axel. She fell on triple jump and landed another
triple jump.
- Free Skate
- Music was Rhapsody of Rock and Roll. Started
with a catch foot layback which she held for many revolutions. Landed a
double axel; a triple/double/double sequence. She landed a double jump,
popped something, landed a triple jump and a triple/double combination.
- Hilary Ho
- Short
- Music was East of Eden. Landed a double
axel, she did a triple lutz combination, but fell on the second jump.
She landed a triple jump. She did butterflies into her combination spin.
- Free Skate
- Music was Turnadot. She landed a triple
lutz, she fell on a triple salchow. She did a flying sit spin with good
height. She put her hand down a triple/double combination. She landed a
double axel. She did a double/half/double sequence. She did a spread
eagle into a triple jump. She had a big smile on her face in her spiral
sequence. She looked very happy throughout and was wonderfully
expressive.
- Rhiana Brammeierr
- Short
- Wow she was really something, clear and away the winner. Her short
music was On Golden Pond. She carried the theme
of birds in flight throughout the program with lovely arm movements and
Moves In the Field. She landed triple salchow/double toe, a solo triple
and put her hand down on the double axel. Very musical skater.
- Free Skate
- Music was Scent of a Woman soundtrack.
Landed a triple salchow/double toe; spread eagle into a triple loop,
very well done. She landed a double/double loop combination and a double
axle/double toe combination. She landed another triple salchow. She has
beautiful Moves in the Field and a very sophisticated carriage. She
landed a double axel and did the ever ubiquitous Bielman on both feet.
- Michaelee Scarincio
- Short Program
- Music is Secret Garden. She has a cute
smile. She landed a triple jump, a triple salchow/double toe
combination; and did a spread eagle into a double axel. She has fast
well stretched spin and is very expressive.
- Free Skate
- Her free skate music is Malguena. She did
an Ina Baur with nice stretch. She landed a triple axel/triple/double
sequence. (I think the second jump was a triple.) Two footed another
triple jump. She did steps into a split jump into a triple, but fell.
She landed a triple salcho/double toe combination. She did a spread
eagle into a double axel. She has great transitions. Did a Bielman
spiral.
- Victoria Rackohn
- Short
- Music was "Samson and Delilah" Her
costume was a far too skimpy harem outfit that was completely
inappropriate for a 13 year old girl. She landed a triple salchow and a
double axel. Very well extended and fast spins. Her combon looked like
double toe/double toe to me, but Ann said it was triple/double.
- Free skate
- Music was Restoration soundtrack. She fell on a triple salchow. She
did steps and a split ump into a double axel/double loop combination.
She has very high very extended split jump. She landed a double/double
combination. She had nice stretch in her flying sit spin. She did a very
stretched spiral sequence into a double jump. She did the soon to be
required Bielman. (Get the feeling I am sick of the over-inflation of
the worth of a Bielman.) She did a Charlotte into a double axel and a
split into a double jump.
- Kelcie Lee
- Short
- In the short she landed a triple salchow/double toe a
double axel and a triple jump. She has great expression.
- Free Skate
- Music is Firebird. She stepped out of triple. She landed a
triple lutz with great speed going in and coming out. She landed a
double loop/double loop combination a double jump and another double
jump. She maintains good speed throughout the program and presents very
well.
- Blake Rosenthal
- Short
- Her short program was Mexican Hat Dance. She landed a
wobbly triple/double combination. Landed a double axel and a triple
jump. Presented well and musical.
- Free Skate
- Free skate was Scherazade - She landed a triple/double
combination and a triple salchow; another triple jump; a treiple
salchow/double toe/double loop combinaton with a hop at the end. She did
a catch foot layback spin. She landed a double axel/double loop
combination. She is expressive, smiled big during her spiral sequence
and did a particularly good change edge spiral.
- Brittney Rizo
- Short
- Music was rocking gypsies. She landed a
triple salchow/double toe and a double axel and a triple.
- Free Skate
- She wore a gorgeous sparkly blue dress. Her music is Don
Juan De Marco soundtrack. She landed a triple loop and a triple jump.
She did a forward inside camel. She did a back catch foot spiral into a
double axel. She did a spread eagle. She landed a triple salchow/double
toe combination. She landed a double/double combination. She had very
pretty arms in her layback but couldn't hold it very long cause the new
stupid spin rules make you change positions, twisting like a pretzel
instead of letting us enjoy a perfectly lovely spin. She did wally,
wally into a triple, but fell. She was very happy and enjoyable to
watch.
