Ladie's Free Skate

Martina Sasanelli - Italy
I didn't take notes on her program. She skated a very lovely, lyrical program with very pretty Moves In the Field.
Rumi Suizu - Japan
Her program started out as Summer of 42 and then was a medley of early 70's music. She landed a triple/double/double sequence, a double lutz and a triple jump and another triple/double combination. She has a layback spin with a very deep arch and beautiful arm movements. Landed another triple jump and another jump that I couldn't see behind the post. All of her program has really nice flow.
Planned tech score 46.2 actual tech score 32.77 program components 35.95 Total Score 68.72
She finished in 5th place
Na-He Sin - Korea
Fell on a double axel. Went into a triple salchow but I couldn't see the landing behind the post. Fell on another triple jump. She did a fast layback with changes of postion. Landed a double loop and another double jump. She is a really good spinner. Landed a double lutz and popped a salchow. Very good and difficult circular steps.
Planned tech score 37 actual tech score 18.57 program components 32.02 Total Score 47.59
Monica Boucer - Canada
Pretty black and blue dress. Skated to a classical-esque mix of West Side Story. She fell a lot. But she was a gutsy kid who didn't give up and landed two double axels at the end of the program.
Planned tech score 42.8 actual tech score 23.51 program components 31.47 Total Score 49.98
Ekaterina Lovanova - Russia
Fell on a lutz, popped something. She did three turns into a loop but fell. Landed a triple/double combination. Did a change edge spiral. Landed a double axel but fell on a triple salchow. Landed another triple/double combination. Her music was Dance of the Hours.
(Sorry didn't get her tech scores.) Program components 32.29 Total Score 48.32
Josephine Ringdahl - Sweeden
Skated to Carmen. Landed a combination that looked like a double/double to me. Landed another combination that was triple/double. Popped something, landed a double jump and a double loop. Did a waxel. Did a sideways leaning Bielman spin.
Planned tech score 38.9 actual tech score 23.02 program components 33.86 Total Score 56.88
Jelena Glebova - Estonia
Fell on something, popped something else. Landed a jump I missed. She has interesting spin positions, well extended. Landed double axel and a double lutz. Cool arm positions in her layback spin. I didn't get her scores.
Cara Kinney - USA
Landed a double axel/double toe/double loop sequence. Stepped out of a triple salchow but still did the double toe part of the combination. Landed 2 other double jumps. Fell on a triple salchow. Has good speed in her footwork sequence. Landed two more double jumps and did a waxel.
Planned tech score 36.2 actual tech score 27.13 program components 33.48 Total Score 59.61
Matilda Rang - Sweden
Very fast skater. Did a combination behind a post and I missed it. Landed a triple jump with extra turns. Landed a double/double combination. Did a waxel. Landed a double jump and a triple salchow.
Planned tech score 37.2 actual tech score 30.87 program components 35.37 Total Score 66.24
Mao Asada - Japan
Landed an axel, it looked like a little more than a double but not at all a triple to me, judges credited it as a double but she was cleary going for the triple. Landed a triple lutz and a double axel. Really deep outside edge spiral to an inside edge spiral. Fell on a salchow. Landed a triple lutz. Did a triple/double/double combination. Landed a triple loop/double loop. Really deep arch in her layback spin. Tons of footwork in her transitions. She has loads of connecting moves, you never want to take your eyes off of her.
Planned tech score 59.5 actual tech score 45.07 program components 43.81 Total Score 87.88
1st Place
Amelie Lacoste - Canada
Landed a triple salchow/double toe. Fell on a triple lutz, landed a triple loop and a double axel. She has nice transition steps. Fell on a triple jump, did a change edge spiral. Landed a triple jump and almost put her hand down by not quite. Did some one footed footwork in her sequence. Fell on a triple loop. Ended way behind her music at 3 minutes 41 seconds.
Planned tech score: 50.3 Actual tech score 31.50 program components 37.01 Total Score 64.51
4th place
Danielle Kahle - USA
Skated to Mack and Mabel. She has really come along way in her presentation just in the months since Nationals. She is taking her time and not rushing the dance elements in her program. You can see her expressing the music and enjoying herself. Landed a triple jump and a triple lutz/double loop. Landed a triple salchow and a double axel. Landed triple toe triple toe with some extra steps between them. Landed a triple loop. She was going like gang busters but then fell at the very end on I think a triple flip. She has some very nice footwork in the program.
Planned tech score 52.1 actual tech score 41.1 program components 39.2 Total Score 78.3
3rd Place

Landed a triple jump. Landed a triple lutz and then a triple toe with a few turns in between. Landed a double axel, popped the loop. Landed a triple salchow and a triple lutz and a triple/double combination. She ended with an illusion spin. Skated a very pretty classical program with many spiral and gliding transitions. She has a dreamy expression on her face and lovely extension. I didn't
