2006 Pacific Coast Sectional Championships
Junior Lady's Free Skate
My cold was hitting me pretty hard, so I have very incomplete notes
from this event. And some of my notes are illegible, so there maybe
mistakes in the notes. By the way all that stuff your mother used to
tell you about being in the cold making a cold worse, it's true.
The scores I am listing are the ones that were announced in the rink
after the skater finished. Sometimes these scores were changed after the
event. So if the scores I post and the scores the USFSA posted are
different that is the reason why.
- Tashe Smith, Skating Club of San Francisco
- Landed a double axel, and a double lutz/double toe. Fell on
something. She has nice stretch and extension in her moves, especially a
very nice forward inside camel spin. Landed a triple salchow and popped
another salchow. Landed another double axel.
- Kathleen Tucker, Salt Lake Figure Skating Club
- Landed a double axel, fell on something, landed a double jump and a
double loop. Popped an axel. Did a very lovely ½ circle Ina Baur, with
nice position.
- Karalee Calaway, Tri Cities Figure Skating Coub
- Great expression.
- Becky Hughes, All Year Figure Skating Club
- Music is Lawrence of Arabia. Landed a
double lutz and I think a double axel but I can' read that note very
well. Did a flying sit spin on one foot with good height. Two footed a
loop. Fell on a combination. Landed a triple toe. Did a double
axel/double toe combination but spun out of the axel. She kept the
Egyptian character of the choreography throughout the program.
- Ashley Wagner, Anchorage Figure Skating Club
- I jinxed this poor kid last year by predicting she would win
Nationals. So I will say nothing like that this time and I will refrain
from wowing or anything like that. Music is a tango. She landed a
triple/lutz/double toe, and a triple salchow. Landed another triple jump
and a double axel. Landed a triple/double/double loop combination. Did a
triple toe/steps/triple toe combination. Landed another triple lutz. She
has tons of personality and presents very well.

triple jump. Got a big, cute grin on her face when she landed that
second triple. Landed a double/double combination. Landed a double jump
and a double axel/double toe. Did split jumps with nice height into a
double jump.

- Landed a double lutz
and a double axel. She landed a triple/double combination. She has
really pretty, well extended spirals. Landed a double lutz/double/double
loop combination. She did a forward Charlotte. Landed a jump I could not
tell the revolutions and a double jump. She ended with a Bielman spin
and pulled her leg all the way down to her face.

- Tenile Victorsen, Los Angeles Figure Skating Club
- She fell on something. Landed a triple loop. Had a wild landing on a
double axel. She landed a triple/double combination, she bent far
forward on the landing, but I could not tell if she put her hand down or
not. Landed a triple jump and a triple salchow. Landed a double axel.
She is a very graceful skater with pretty positions.
