Senior Ladie's Free Program

Sierra Dickens - Sun Valley Figure Skating Club
Landed a double axel/double loop and a triple salchow, another double jump and another double axel. Did a heart layback spin. Very nice sequence in her spiral section back spiral three turn forward spiral and ended with a Charlotte. Landed another triple salchow and didd steps into a double. Ended with a camel/lay/change foot/sit/Y spin. Vaguely India-esque program smiled throughout. She has nice stretch in her camel.
10th in the free and overall.
Joan Cristobal - Peninsula Skating Club
Landed a double axel and a triple lutz/double toe combination, but two footed the lutz. Did a triple/double combination with steps between the jumps. Landed a triple salchow/double toe. Did a catch foot layback spin. Landed a double loop. Did a change edge spiral and spread eagle.
7th in the free and overall
Erica Aden - Tri-Cities Figure Skating Club
She has a beautiful dress with lots of roses on it. Landed a double axel and double salchow, nice footwork into a triple but fell. Landed a double loop another double jump and a double salchow. Really nice footwork, this is a tango program with lots of intricate connecting steps. Erica is very musical. She has also has a very nice back.
11th in the free and overall.
Sydney Vogel - Anchorage Figure Skating Club
She wore a lovely elegant black dress. She told me it was just a warm up suit. Well it was very nice and I wish more skaters would wear warm up suits over some of the overdone garish things. Her speed is still very good. She two footed a triple lutz. Landed a triple salchow/double toe and a double axel. Did a series of very nice inside/outside spread eagles, beautiful line, right down the length of the rink. Landed a triple salchow, she did a split jump in the footwork. Landed a double jump, a double axel, and double lutz. Did a very pretty and very fast spiral. I think she probably should have been higher.
6th in the free and overall.
Erin Reed - Wasatch Figure Skating Club
Landed a double axel and a triple salchow/double toe combination. Two footed another triple. Pretty spiral, doughnut spin and change edge spiral. She has a pretty smile and nice presentation. Put her hand down on a loop. She fell on another triple salchow and landed a double lutz.
8th in free and 9th overall.
Shannell Noji - All Year Figure Skating Club
Landed a double salchow, a triple lutz, a triple/double combination and a double axel. Did a beautiful layback spin into a Bielman spin. Fell on another lutz. She has great expression, lots of fun to watch. Landed another triple jump and singled an axel. Ended with a combination spin camel/sit/lay/change foot/sit/Y/Scratch.
4th in free and overall.
Stephanie Rosenthal - Utah Figure Skating Club
Landed a triple salchow and a double axel/double toe. Landed another triple salchow/double toe. Did steps into a triple toe. Singled an axel. She skated to some kind of Spanish music, with absolutely fabulous footwork. Every minute of the program is choreographed, she has tons of connecting steps all timed with the music perfectly. And she has really difficult spins, including holding a camel spin bent low on the knee on both legs. If they used COP in National competitions her program component scores would be through the roof, cause this girl can transition like no ones business. If you are going to Portland don't miss seeing Stephanie. (In fact you should write ABC now and tell them they HAVE to put Stephanie's short on tv)
2nd in free and overall.
Felicia Beck - All Year Figure Skating Club
Oh dear, Felicia's jumps were just not there this evening. I am not even going to type my notes up. She has some of the best Moves in the Field in skating. She has fabulous spins, presentation and footwork. Even when her jumps are not there, there is so much more to her programs and so much to enjoy. Better luck next year Felicia, we will miss you in Portland.
9th in the free 8th overall.

(Okay at this point it is late I am tired and my note taking seriously suffered.)

Amy Evidente - Peninsula Skating Club
She skated a lot more tentatively in the free than in the short and I think that really cost her. Put her hand down on a triple jump, landed a double lutz. Fell out of a triple salchow. Landed a triple jump and a triple salchow and double axel.
5th in the free and overall.
Beatrisa Liang -
Spread eagle into a double axel, landed a triple/double combination and a triple toe/double toe. Fell on a triple salchow. Beautiful layback spin, Charlotte spiral. Fell on another triple jump. Landed a double jump and a split double combination. Fast, with easy flow between moves.
1st in free and overall.
Yebin Mok - All Year Figure Skating Club
She moves so beautifully, graceful arms and back. Landed a double lutz, stepped out of a triple jump. Landed a double jump, a double salchow, and put her hand down on a triple. She did a most gorgeous spread eagle. Landed a triple salchow. Fell on another triple jump and singled an axel.
3rd in free and overall.

Have a great time in Portland Bibi, Stephanie, Yebin and Shannell. I can't wait to see you there!
