Novice Lady's Free Program
- Ellise Kriskovic - Wenatchee Figure Skating Club
- Landed a double axel, a double lutz, a double/double combination,
another double jump and a double axel/double toe combination. She has
good circular footwork sequence with a big smile on her face. Fell out
of a double loop, landed a double jump a split jump, and another double
jump. She was very happy at the end of her skate.
10th in free and
overall.
- Jennifer Liao - Highland Skating Club
- Landed a double lutz/double toe combination, did a very high split
jump into a double jump. Did another split jump and some twirly footwork
into a loop. Fell on a double axel. Pretty spiral. Landed a double
salchow/double toe. Did a nice Ina Baur and a Bielman spin. Landed a
double lutz. Finished with a double jump then did some twirly steps into
a combination spin.
12th in the free and overall.
- Chrissy Hughes - Highland Skating Club
- Fell on a triple salchow. Landed a double jump, a double axel/double
toe, and another jump. She has some nice transitional steps. Did a
double jump with extra steps on the landing, landed a double/double
combination. Pretty spiral. Landed a double axel and a double
lutz/double toe combination. She is very musical.
6th in the free and 7th
overall.
- Mia Hamano - St. Moritz Ice Skating Club
- Landed a double lutz/double loop combination, a double axel, and a
double/double combination. Landed a triple jump and a double loop. Did
spread eagles into a salchow but I can't read my notes so I don't' know
if it was a double or triple. Also did a split jump. She has pretty
positions.
7th in the free and
8th overall.
- Lauren Tong - St. Moritz Ice Skating Club
- Music was Polostovian Dances, which I have no idea how
to spell. Landed a double lutz/double combination and I think the second
jump was a loop. Landed a double axel/double toe. She is fast. Ina Baur
into a loop. Fell on a triple salchow, spiral into a double jump. Landed
another double jump and a single lutz.
11th in free and overall
- Fionna Sun - St. Moritz Ice Skating Club
- Music was Swan Lake. She has pretty arms in her
layback spin. Landed a double axel/double toe combination. Landed a
double lutz and a double salchow and a double/double combination. She
did an Ina Baur into an axel she singled and fell on, poor kid. Did a
loop with her hands above her head. Forward spiral three turn back
spiral sequence into a double loop. Landed two more double jumps.
9th in free and overall.
- Elaina Chu - Peninsula Skating Club
- Landed a double/double combination and a double axel/double toe
combination, the axel was very high. Did a spread eagle. Landed a double
jump and a double loop. Fell on another double. Fell on a triple
salchow. She is pretty fast. She did an Ina Baur. Fell on a jump.
8th in the free and
6th overall.
- Tiffany Yu
- Landed a double axel. Did a triple salchow/double toe combination,
with extra steps between jumps. Fell on a triple jump. Landed a double
lutz/double toe, a triple salchow, a double loop and another double
jump.
3rd in free and
2nd overall.
- Anna Malkova - All Year Figure Skating Club
- Music is Phantom of the Opera. Landed a triple salchow
and a double axel. She is a very aggressive jump, fast and really leaps
into the jumps and fast coming out. Fell on another triple jump. Fell on
a double axel. She landed a double lutz, a good high split jump another
double jump. Ended with a blur scratch spin.
5nd in free 5th
overall.
- Victoria Rackohn - All Year Figure Skating Club
- I really enjoyed her skating. She landed a triple salchow/double
toe. She did a very extended split jump. Landed a double axel and a
double axel/double loop combination. She fell on a double lutz. Landed a
triple/double combination. Did a Bielman spin. Landed a double axel. Did
a fast camel spin into a Bielman spin.
2nd in free and 3rd
overall.
- Caroline Zhang - All Year Figure Skating Club
- Music was Turnadot. I wrote down she did a messed up
two footed combination, so I have no idea what that means. Landed a loop
that might have been a triple or double. Another jump that I could not
tell if it was triple or double. Landed a double axel/double loop. Very
nice layback. Did a lutz I could not tell the revolutions on. Landed a
double axel and a double/double combination Ended with Bielman spin.
4th in
free and overall.
- Ashley Wagner - Anchorage Figure Skating Club
- Skated to the overture from Gypsy, as she went zipping
around the rink, landing jumps like gangbusters; I sang the words to
myself "She'll be swell, she'll be great, She will have Portland on a
plate." Landed a triple lutz, a triple jump, a triple salchow/double
toe/double loop combination and a double axel. Landed a Bielman spin.
Did an Inside Edge spiral with a very deep edge. Landed a double
axel/double loop. Had a big ol grin on her face, and who can blame her.
And did another triple/double combination. "Starting here starting now
Honey everything's coming up Roses in Portland for you."

free and overall.
