Novice Men's Free Program

Nicholas Roby - Peninsula Skating Club

Landed a triple/double combination and a single axel/double/double combination. Landed a double salchow/double toe combination and did a double 'Tano lutz. Landed double salchow and double axel. Did a stag leap in his footwork. Landed a double loop. He finished behind his music.

Brian Simm - Los Angeles Figure Skating Club

He came out wearing a tuxedo and I thought oooo Fred Astaire maybe Gershwin. Then he crouched down and turned his finger into a gun and I groaned "oh no James Bond." Sure enough it was swine, misogynistic swine. Landed a double axel/double toe and a triple lutz/double toe. And then I wrote down something I can't read. Put his hand down on another triple. Landed a triple and fell out of another triple, landed a triple salchow/double toe and a double axel.
3^rd place

Robert Tyrrell - Peninsula Skating Club

Landed a triple loop and a triple/double combination. Landed a double axel and a triple salchow/double toe, a double lutz, another double jump and a double axel with extra steps before the double toe. Ended with a scratch spin.
4^th place.

Richard Dornbush - All Year Figure Skating Club

Music was JFK. I was thinking to myself how much I associate this music with Paul Wylie and I wondered how someone can skate to music so associated with another skater. Then I realized this kid was probably 5 when Paul skated to this music and has no idea it is associated with another skater. Landed a double axel/double toe, fell on a lutz. Landed a triple/double jump with a little hop on the end. Fell on a triple loop. Landed a triple/double combination. He has good circular footwork. Fell on a double axel. Did what I think was a salchow and landed another double jump.
2^nd in the free and overall.

Andrew Gonzalez - All Year Figure Skating Club

Fell on something, landed a double jump a double/double combination and a double axel/double toe/double loop series. Landed a double loop a double jump, a double axel and double lutz.
5^th in the free and overall.

Austin Kanallakan - All Year Figure Skating Club

Landed a high triple jump. Landed a triple lutz and a double axel/double toe combination. Landed a triple jump and a triple loop. Did a kicking leap at the end of his footwork. Landed a triple/double combination and a triple salchow. Ended with a scratch with his hands up by his head.
