Jr. Ladies Free Skate

I missed the first few skaters because I wanted to see the Pre-Juvenile girls skate at the other rink. Here is where I came in.

Jessica Perino
Great layback spin. Camel spin very fast and well stretched out. Very fast skater. She has a really nice well extended spread eagle with great speed. She skated to Chicago (I get the feeling we will be seeing a LOT of Chicago this season.) She has nice presentation but had a lot of problems with jumps, stepping out falling out etc. 10th place
Tashe Smith
Skate to the music of Porgy and Bess. She fell on a triple jump and fell on a double axel. Landed a double loop and a double lutz. Fabulous spiral and good stretch on her camel spin.
Tasha MaMoody
Skated to Cirque De Soleil. She fell twice, one of those falls was on a double axel. Then she did a salchow/loop combination and I think she did land a triple jump and fall on another triple jump. Landed a double lutz, two footed a double axel. Has a pretty layback and a fast spiral sequence.
Tosha Hanford
Four Seasons. Landed a double axel, two footed a loop jump and did a double/double loop combination. She has a pretty camel spin with good speed. Landed I think double salchow. Fell on something. Beautiful layback spin. She did a beautiful stretched out Ina Baur right on the crescendo of the music, very nice. Landed double jump, double lutz, split jump and double jump. Actually third in the free but 4th overall.
Julian Burns
Well I liked her when I got here and now I love her. She skated to gorgeous programs full of excitement and joy. Started out with a triple loop, did a stag leap, landed a double jump, then a double lutz. She landed a combination jump that I missed but I think it might have been a triple. Double axel, another double jump. Charlotte spiral. She gets this look on her face when she skates that is just pure joy. As if she just loves skating and wants to share that joy with us. Love her. 1st place
Elizabeth Lim
She landed a double jump, then a double axel/double toe but two footed the toe. Split jump then fell on a double jump. She did a nice Ina Baur and Kerrigan spiral. Did a split jump with good height. 7th place
Kathleen Tran
Very pretty camel spin. She started out with a double axel that had very good flow coming out of the jump. Double lutz/double toe and I think a triple/double combination. Then she did a salchow that I couldn't tell if it was a triple or double. Double loop, double lutz, catch foot layback spin and another double jump. 2nd place
Kelly Knight
Landed a double axel with good height. Two footed a double lutz and two footed another double jump. Very fast skater, good ice coverage. Nice spread eagle. She did a fast footwork sequence with complicated steps. High split jump. 3rd place
Danielle Schraner
Split jump. Double jump, double axel. Combination spin including an illusion spin. Triple salchow with extra turns coming out of it. Nice stretch in her spiral sequence. Double loop/single loop combination. Popped something, did a salchow that might have been triple. Fell out of a double axel and then landed a double jump. 5th place

Sr. Men's Short program

Justin Dillon
Waxel, triple lutz hands down, triple out of steps hand down. Very elegant and graceful program but no clean jumps. 4th place
Michael Villareal
WOW he is a young man! He was always such a tiny thing, even as a junior he was smaller then everyone else. Now suddenly he is a young man with muscles, how did that happen? Landed a triple lutz/double toe, fell on a triple axel, and landed a clean triple out of steps. He has a really good straight line footwork sequence and good height on the flying sit spin. 2nd place
Dennis Phan
Landed triple lutz/triple toe, double axel and triple jump out of steps. He has good extension which made for a nice camel spin and too very nice spread eagles. 1st place
Pierre Balian
Fell on a triple axel, landed a triple lutz and a double axel. 3rd place.
