As the day gets later my note taking gets shorter. No reflection on
the skating, just the exhaustion of your intrepid girl reporter. Who is
no longer a girl, and skating fandom is definitely a sport for the
young.
Senior Ladie's Short Program
- Ahnah Lee - St. Moritz ISC
- Landed a triple/double combination, the triple was tilted forward on
the landing, but she did not touch down. Landed a double axel and a
triple salchow. She has very fast spins with excellent positions, her
back is so straight in her sit spin you could use it as a ruler. 2nd
place
- Laura Lipetski - Peninsula SC
- Landed a triple/double combination and a double axel and that is all
the notes I have for her. 5th place
- Joan Cristobal - Peninsula SC
- Landed a triple lutz/double toe a triple out of steps and fell out
of the double axel. Kevin tells me she two footed her lutz and I will
believe him because her marks were very low. 3rd place
- Mia Ann Cromarty - Stockton FSC
- Fell on a loop jump, landed a triple jump. Fell out of her flying
sit spin. She did a nice split jump in her footwork sequence. She landed
the double axel with some extra turns. 6th place
- Mariam Mohajer-Rahbari - Peninsula SC
- Two footed a lutz, landed a jump out of steps fine and a double axel
was fine. She has a fast camel spin. 8th place
- Abigail Alfajora - Peninsula SC
- Had a very rough skate. Fell on a triple salchow, two footed the
double axel and popped something else. 10th place
- Katie Mulvaney - Utah FSC
- Cutting Edge soundtrack She had nice flow coming out of her double
axel. But she fell on a triple salchow. Good footwork sequence 9th place
- Stephanie Rosenthal - Utah FSC
- Landed a double axel, triple/double combination and a triple
salchow. I have one word written down on my notes for here
"enthralling." She is a wonderful skater, gorgeous edges and line. Her
footwork was fabulous. I mostly just enjoyed her skating and didn't
bother with notes. Clearly the winner.
- Cohen Duncan - Peninsula SC
- Music was Take 5. Fell on a lutz I could see her hit her other
skate blade when she took off, ouch. Fell on a double axel. It's a nice
program she has gorgeous extension but no jumps. 7th place
- Amy Evidente - Peninsula SC
- Fell on the lutz, landed a triple jump and a double axel, skated to
a tango. 4th place
