2004 Central Pacific Regional Championships Vacaville, CA Oct. 9-11, 2003

After a weekend of skating I was only up to taking notes for the final flight of the final event.

Junior Ladie's Free Skate

Tasha MaMoody

Skated to Cirque De Soleil. Landed a double/double loop combination and a double axel. Landed a triple salchow with extra turns' landed a double axel. Landed a double loop/double loop combination and a double/double loop combination. She has a nice layback with her arms in a full circle position. She landed two more double jumps. 5^th in the free and overall.

Kellie Nakamura

She wore a beautiful costume, black with silver stars, looked like the night sky. Landed a double/double combination. Landed a double axel/1/2 loop/double axel combination. Landed a double/double, and a double loop. Pretty layback, nice spiral. Fell on a salchow, fell out of something else. Ended with a blur scratch spin. 7^th in the free 6^th overall.

Tosha Hanford

Stepped out of a double axel and fell on a triple loop. Landed a double lutz/double toe and double salchow. Did a beautiful dramatic Ina Baur into a double loop. Beautiful layback spin. She landed a double jump then did two split jups. She ended with a very fast combination spin and blur scratch. 4^th in the free and overall.

Erin Reed

Started out the program with some pretty moves in the field. She landed a double axel. She did a triple salchow/double toe combination, landed the salchow but fell on the toe. She did a double jump and a double/double combination. She has nice connecting steps in the program. She popped a jump, put her hand down on a double axel and two footed a double salchow. Then she landed a double lutz. 2^nd in the free and overall.

Julian Burns

She started out with a triple loop and away we go, she landed a double jump, a double lutz, a triple/double combination. She has fast spins. She landed a double axel and a triple salchow. Did a Charlotte into yet another triple. Really nice, fast, footwork sequence. She did an inside edge spiral with a picture perfect inside edge. She is fast with good ice coverage. Was head and shoulders the winner of this competition. She got a partial standing O.

Tashe Smith

Skated to an overture from Porgy and Bess. Landed a double axel and another double jump. Landed a double salchow/double toe combination. She has a pretty layback spin and pretty spiral with nice stretch. She landed a triple jump, a double loop/double loop and a double lutz. Fell on something. 3^rd in the free and overall.
